Actually almost every company does. At least every company with a safety bonus. Oh they states it's not getting the bonus because you got a tick. Simple fact, your paycheck is lower because of the ticket.

Not mine. And if they do I’ll turn in my truck and keys. I’m here to make money, not lose it.

    1) If your husband was a company driver and signed on as a 1099 contractor, that is an illegal arrangement.

    2) Under Illinois law 1099 contractors do not get State assistance for wages not paid.

You can go to Court, but for $3200 it's not worth the time effort or expense.

Chalk it up and move on, and tell husband not to work for Chicago 1099s.

I worked yhere in 2018, cleared 68k. They are 1099 and tell you they charge for tickets, they never did and i got 2 warnings, speeding and traffic control devise.
I believe these 3k dollar charges are the same with any company, you quit in the first few months and you cover ur travel expenses to otientation

Well...we were company drivers. And they pretty much stole our whole checks! They made us pay for fuel, tolls etc! But karma's a bytch! Even satan will have his part in the lake of fire!

I was a company driver too lol, theyre 1099 on state taxes if you dont live in illinois. I doubt you paid for truck fuel bc thats a lawsuit unless you were constantly going out of route. Like i said, if you left within a few months of hire then theyll back charge you for everything they paid to get you to and through orientation. If i remember right, orientation was 2-3 days. Paperwork and go..why did you quit?
