@mover man there is a company in the City of Bell California that was selling rebuilt turbos for 1400 plus exchange. Didnt come with actuator but cheaper then the dealer.
I have had luck on ebay getting factory remanufactured turbos. Just depends on how fast you want the truck back on the road.
Also wich manifold do you currently have? The old 3 piece one or the updated 1 piece manifold?
Vgt turbo actuator

Thanks for all your answers. I went ahead and told the STEALERSHIP to just fix it.
If I had of known what problem was before I towed it. Might have taken else where.
Volvo's are tough, because unlike in the mid west, most shops around here do not have thier software.
I entertained having them do turbo only. Then going else where for the exhaust manifold later. (Could get a ceramic coated performance installed cheaper than the OEM from dealer) Ultimately i decided it's in shop now just fix it.
My last question is how long should it take to replace both turbo and exhaust manifold?
And how long would it take to replace each individually?
I realize stealership works by book hours.
But I'm curious as to what "actual" hours would be. -
I can understand the just fix it attitude. Down time is a killer.
Not sure on the hours to replace them. -
Cut the bolts and get actuator out or break actuator and heat up bolts to remove core charge is only 160 so not bad most dealers do not do that they rather sell turbo.
KB3MMX Thanks this.
