Your boss/company can decide to do nothing, put the incident on your DAC, only report it to someone calling to check your employment, or to fire you after you pay for it. We cannot read your bosses mind. I would ask drivers at the company you work for, if you can find some with experience at the company. If you quit sometime soon, it's pretty likely this company reports the info to your next company or put it on your DAC. If you stay and prove to be a great employee they may forget about it. They are not going to forget about it if you leave just after it happened.

Does Canada even use DAC or whatever the hell that is? We're a lot less strict about stuff this side of the border it seems.

Why is everyone down on the owner of the company? I think he's giving the OP a break. He's already said don't worry about it, so why worry.

    Bingo.

    Do NOT rush. Never rush.

One time I took sick and boss told me to put my truck and trailer away, Id be home a few days. Backing was not very good at 104 temp such as it is. Father thinks I am the worst at that kind of moving a big truck to this day. Took me about 10 minutes to put it away. (Figures...)

The minute you feel rushed stop it. Something will happen if you don't

The money? HA its common in my time. If i knew what was good for my job I'll buy the tire or whatever cash.

I’d imagine a Canadian company certainly could. After all, the internet doesn’t really see international borders.

What has happened to integrity and character? You hit a truck, blamed it on the mother, rain and time of night but not yourself.
Then you want to split, not put him in any application.
Are you the same guy that is going to be in the same conditions in a truckstop and take my hood off and leave? Maybe take all your breaks in the fuel islands so you don't have to back.

Look you don’t know exactly what happened and you were not at the scene. There is a reason why I wasn’t fired plus it wasn’t the first time this incident happened at this company I’m currently working for! You don’t know what the yard looks like. It is a very small yard with a bunch of trucks squeezed in. This type of incident can happen to anyone. Before this incident, I have been driving for over 6years without a scratch. I have no problem backing up and I’m currently not pulling a van but a live bottom. I ended my shift and had to park my truck. We don’t even have to back up to park the live bottoms. I pulled in and had to back up a little to straighten up and that’s when the incident occurred. There was no truck behind me when I pulled in. I completed my log book and decided to back up a little just to straighten up and without knowing, another driver parked his bobtailed truck behind me. But I accept it was my mistake and willing to pay for it. Stop acting as if you are a perfect driver yourself.

He said not to worry he isn’t going to make me pay much. I’m worried because I used to pull a van for 6years and I never got into any incident. I’ve been working for this company for almost 6months now and I drive a live bottom. It’s hard not to worry knowing he might report it to my future employers when in fact I’m not a bad driver. It was a mistake I did and I just want to pay for it and move on. I was in the process of leaving this company when this occurred. The reason for leaving is because the boss is very rude! He has no respect for his workers. But surprisingly, he wasn’t rude to me when the incident occurred because he has already lost about 4 drivers just last month alone due to his rudeness and he doesn’t want to lose me either
