1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I am a 5 year veteran with Werner and 7 months with a little Mom n Pops outfit called Universe (reefer).

I am having to move due to foreclosure here in Nebraska and have chosen the North Georgia area (Buford or Gainesville) to relocate to...

I am wondering what companies in the Georgia area might have good paying local (home everyday) or SE Regional runs that pay well and treat their drivers good?

I have checked into both...they apparently are OTR and i have become somewhat burned out on OTR...i ran for 5 years straight with no vacation time with Werner (my choice of course) and am looking for something to the tune of maybe a dedicated run/ regional...or even locally where I can be home every night....Doesn't the chciken plant in Gainesville hire drivers to run the chickens to the stores in NC,SC,Va,Fla etc etc???

How'd ya like Universe? Got any info on them? Saw them on [spamming job site removed] and was thinking of putting an app in with them, but haven't been able to find any info on them pay/hiring area wise.

Not sure how far Gainesville is from Alanta, but I am sure the LTL and Gas Hauling Company's will be hiring. You will need your HAZMAT for booth of theese type jobs. GA is a great place to live

There's a carpet company in North Georgia named Shaw. They run a bunch of day cabs in that area.
