What are you trying to figure out ? If you install a 20k pusher axle, you really don't have to change out your steer axle. The tag on the door can be changed by just about any spring shop to up your gvw.

Heck it was Saturday afternoon. I must been in the sticks? Only had one 4 wheeler come up behind me all day, & we hit one of those passing areas about 60 seconds later where the road becomes a 3 lane. He was gone, & I was enjoying the scenery..

If there were log trucks or someone that looked like they was in hurry I'd get em bye me..
You can look at the route real easy. Loves in Paris, to Atlanta TX.
It was us271 to Farm road 77, & like a mile up 59. Saw a sign on FM 71 said max gvw 58k. LoL, good to light sometimes.

I think he’s just concerned about modifying his truck and his door jamb sticker not reflecting it.jamespmack, Slowpoke KW, PoleCrusher and 7 others Thank this.

Most people use the double drop interchangeably with rgn in referring to a mechanical neck RGN with a low deck height and long well. So think 35 ton mechanical neck29’ well trailer with front and rear decksjamespmack, blairandgretchen, Slowpoke KW and 9 others Thank this. -
Every truck I've built I have a new door sticker made to reflect the gvw I want. Been checked many times with no issues.jamespmack, Slowpoke KW, PoleCrusher and 8 others Thank this.

Ok so it's like say I put an 18k front axle in, a 20k pusher and have 40k rears. According to the math that should be 78k. So I can re sticker the truck for 78k? Add a 55 ton rgn and youd be able to tag the truck for 188k? Is that how that works?jamespmack, Slowpoke KW, PoleCrusher and 4 others Thank this.

Yes, but depends on the state. Some states allow only 20k per axle. Depending on your configuration you will never atain your max gvw. Example-- arkansas I can go 14600 steer, 60 on drive and pusher, 60 on the three trailer axles, and 20k on my stinger. Now I won't be able to get those weights maxed out depending on what I'm hauling. One being not able to slide 5th wheel far enough forward to load up steer. Neck of trailer isn't long enough. If I was running a quad on trailer ark only gives you 68k. Just cause it says it's a 55t on wagon doesn't mean you can haul that much. That's just the gvw rating. In ohio I can go up to 25 per axle but not go over the 60 rating of three axles. Example steer 18600 steer, 16000 on pusher,22 on front drive, 22 on rear drive, 60 on trailer axles, and 25 on my stinger. Do I want to haul that weight ? No! Can I on paper yeah, reality probably can't get it evened out on axle groups. I could go on and on. But this is a book already. Hope this helps you.jamespmack, blairandgretchen, Slowpoke KW and 10 others Thank this.
