Thats what I am afraid of.

Mechanic shop boss staggers outside pouring coffee. Aims a bar code reader at the entire yard of tractor trailers early in the morning. Pulls trigger on same.

    BIP!

Instantly knows whats busted and so on all of them.

    No thanks.

That's all done when you go threw the gate on the way in.

For me, that’s not exactly the problem. That technology cannot check certain things like tears on tires, damaged/cracked wheels, leaking shocks, leaking engine component, missing mud flap, missing DOT reflector tape, missing license plate, and so on. Some drivers need a “reality” check.

Agree to an extent... But, it gets so familiar you sorta accept its as safe Thursday as when you went thru Monday. Things change like lower repaired overhead wires, patched pavement breaks out past the edges, etc.

All in all, perfectionist and holy drivers will do very well in a company like TMC, and they’ll get a thrill of superiority whenever they see that list of “bad hombres” sent to all drivers on the Omnitracs device. Oh, I can see these same guys raising hell if they were to ever end up in that list. They’ll take TMC to court.

I kinda like it. Just recently we lost our personal conveyance. Why? Because "some" weren't using it accordingly. Well, I could really use it for my 34s out here on the road. Can't bobtail to Walmart, or the mall, or the laundromat. Because "some" needed punishing... I would love to know who they are.
