You ain't kidding, I feel like I logged a forest. Lot harder cutting it out of a fence than falling and bucking in the woods. I hardly put a dent in it. The factory that was there has been gone 20 years now. So it's been sometime. The past owner didnt do anything in the past 20. County claims I have 2970 feet of fence. I ain't measured it. That 60 foot took most of the day and still not done.

Since you are working on a chain link fence. Get yourself a generator and a hand held grinder. Keep the grind wheel flat and smooth on the fence and float along letting the wheel do its thing on the branches.

 

Got distracted...once the fence face is clear you can try a power pole saw to ground cut the debris on your side. Also, if you have a rack on your truck, that can take all the heavy lifting of that saw on yur shulder. Use the rack as your "rest", have someone ease the truck down the fence line as you cut away the overhead.

 

Wish I had that pole saw as a kid. We would ride the bucket truck while one person rolled thru the field to clear out over hang so the combine would clear. It was sketchy at best. Grinder is a good idea too. Been using sawzall when I have to get close to the fence.

 

Hope they come around, seems to have lowered rates this year. Already told them they will not see my truck till it comes up.
