I'm not the person you questioned, but I think it's perfectly possible to be a perfectionist and make money in trucking. As long as you aren't at a company that only pays you when the wheels are turning, anyway.

I usually load at the same places within a 300 mile radius of where I live since I go home weekly. I know the roads and the rules in this area. Most of the places I deliver are different but still within that radius. Of the few times I have stayed out none of the places Ive loaded or got empty were familiar. Also it seems when I stay out the loads I get are more high risk than when staying local. Last time I stayed out I got this load that took me through in my opinion, a very dicy mountain drive in Arkansas. So Im reminded about my trainer telling me the further you venture from home the more risk you take, then maybe something can happen.

There are many reasons, but when it comes to HOS logging, there are many duties we should be logging, but many of us don’t. For example, working on our trucks should technically be logged; standing at the dock while getting loaded; filling out paperwork related to our work; shopping for parts at the dealer, and so on. I’d be out of business if I had to log all of these and many more.

Guys, if we can stay on topic and keep this about if its wrong or right to be called out publiclly by your place of employment, or something that ties into that. Otherwise you just dilute the topic. Thx

I'm almost 37 and I absolutely remember this stuff being posted. Honestly, the way you stated it made it seem like you had a problem with his age.
