No. I admitted to not being affected. I never claimed to be using any eld, much less an omnitracks.
I fall under an exemption to not even need an eld.

Omnitracs was rather nice from the driver perspective. You roll into some place you didn't need to change status unless you wanted some sort of off-duty. Same thing when you started the day. Just start driving and it would switch the time after 5 minutes, from the time you stated moving, to "driving" time. It was "smart" enough to guess what you were doing most of the time. You didn't need to tell it everything you were doing all the time.

If I pull into some busy place to go check in and I don't want to block the entrance for longer than necessary, I will know my log status switched from driving to on-duty. Same deal with fueling. It will be on-duty unless I switch it to off-duty.

Some of them, you need to stop and change status constantly...

I am also using DriveELD and I have not had any issues with it. The support is good and I have found it perfect for me.

I have to say that Keep trucking works!

I tried Rand McNally Garmin and Transfol. They all suck! And the customer service too.

Long FLD, misterG and PE_T Thank this.

You will save some money with DriveELD over Keep trucking. That is why I chose them. Glad you found one that works though.

They should at least be honest in their comparison chart.

I use BigRoad (have been for 5 years) and I pay under $20 a month not $40 as they are incorrectly representing.

Same. It’s very consistent at least. I don’t plan on making a change. I prefer that it’s hard wired in as well. The tablet system I tried with another company always lost connection and messed things up.

I’m not sure why these companies break it down by monthly cost anyway. I paid $180 for the year for the subscription and I think $40 for the ELD, its not a monthly payment.

I looked at BigRoad but dont they charge you per user or driver? Something like that.
