Texas Gem-wannabe team driver

Hey, everyone from Fort Worth, TX. I confess... I've been browsing your forums for a little while now to absorb information. My roommate/boyfriend and I are looking into team driving OTR and trying to get as informed as possible. One company we've been to, Stevens, called us after telling us we were accepted to say "oh if you were married you could team, but we'll let you go solo". I declined. We want to do this together!
Anyway some of your stories have inspired me greatly and has actually given me more confidence that this is something I could definitely do. I already have been away from my family for years at a time (when I took a greyhound to California and never came back til last year) and have been on the road. Never driven a big rig but hell I can learn to do anything and be good at it.
