As I leave the customer in Osage City Ks. I see this sign that shows the fine is $5,000 for wind farm traffic.
I can't even begin to imagine how I would explain this. Maybe someone has advice but this is all I can think of for now.

    Reporting to the wife.

Do you remember you said you like peanut butter and jelly?

    Baby it wasn't my fault.

Do we really need new tires? These hold air just fine.

We deliver to a windmill farm in Burlington,KS. They sent a map with what roads we had to stay on and if we got off the route they would not use our company anymore. So our company told us that it was an immediate termination of our employment if this happened.

The other day I was going east on I 80 and westbound lane was closed. A few miles down the road I see three trucks with the wind mill. I wonder what they have to do when this happens. The accident had three casualties and it was gonna be closed for a long time.

Those signs are mostly related to the trucks that haul the blades and parts to build those giant wind turbines. Making a wrong turn with one of these is an entire ordeal since you can't just find a lot big enough to turn around in, so I figure the steep fines are there to encourage drivers to double check their routing.
See them all the time going up and down the 80 in Illinois and Iowa. Makes the overhang on a 53-footer seem nonexistant! 081319.N.DNT.HeavyRoads c01.jpeg 30111870628_ff3f835f09_b.jpg

Yep. They give you directions and the phone number to the site rep.

YET, there are so many drivers who

-won’t communicate with the site rep
-won’t trip plan in the slightest
    -won’t read their OSOW permits.
-hand a permit to a Braindead pilot car and follow a pilot car as the gospel truth. And that Braindead pilot car who couldn’t cut the mustard at CR England will set their GPS and follow it blindly. After all, when SHTF, it’s your ticket, not theirs.

    Stupid should hurt.

Sometimes there’s only one way to get to their stop. Any other route will not work. They plan it ahead of time.
