Hello, I'm new to the CB radio world and I basically got me one for emergencies. I got a Cobra 19 Ultra III, a beginner's radio in my opinion, and one of those $15 CB antennae from Walmart.
Is there a way to extend the antenna's cable without cutting it? The cable length is 10 inches (3 meters), and the antenna is on the back of my car, by the trunk, and almost touching the rear window. I managed to make it run underneath my seats and it barely reaches the center console, location where I decided to install my radio. Thanks to that, the trunk doesn't open, which makes it very inconvenient for me. That's why I was wondering if there is like some sort of cable adapters or extenders because I really don't want to cut the antenna cable.
If it doesn't have a solution, then I'd have to buy a new antenna. Thank you for your time.
How to extend CB antenna cable?

You need what is called a barrel connector and a jumper. The barrel connector looks like the connector off the back of the radio but with both ends the same, it is about two inches long.
The jumper can be bought under five feet but where is the question, I make my own.
Don't cut the connector off the end of the antenna, you can't splice it. -

Please ignore that attached picture at the bottom of my post. Not sure why that’s in there.
