what is coolant system refiller ?

 

Any of them that have a tank that the freon gets pumped out of system into will work .

 

This is the best bang for the buck as far as I am concerned. All brass, durable and the venturi is strong.

If you have deep pockets the Snappy and Matco ones work great too.

The use started in autos with extremely hard to burp systems that would hold and trap air pockets during refill process. Overheating, loss of heat , so on.....

They really are a life saver if you have a vehicle prone to air pockets and vacuum filling Is the only way to ensure there is no trapped air.

 

I had many cars and only 2000 and up BMWs had problems related to air pockets during coolant change. HD truck engines don't have that problem, I never seen them. I have my own made cooling system pressure tester for Detroit/Freightliners .

 

I’ve got the snap-on version. I had to get the adapter for the thread on pressure cap for the plastic tanks on the Freightliner’s, which made it easier to get a good seal. We got tired of pulling a vacuum, wait to fill, pull a vacuum, etc. So we pull the de-airition hose off of the surge tank, plug one end, and put a hose from the other down to the bucket. Then leave the air on till the surge tank starts filling or the buckets are empty.
