Yeah, I frankly don't know how a lot of these chaps with 20k a year (plus or minus) do it.

I’m OTR, primarily east of Ms. very little NE. Since 2004. I’m around $8300 yr. $30 k on Truck, $8k on trailer. 1 mil . PL, and $100 k cargo. I’m with Northland. Had OOiDA for years. Only thing I miss is Towing coverage. Used it once,$500 deductible. Otherwise they were a pain at times. My premium seems a bit high to Me. But Agent says it’s competitive. 7 yrs or so, 1 minor parking lot incident, a few yrs back. I backed into a P/U Truck, that snuck in behind Me. Never heard a word from it.

Yeah, me neither. Especially if they have truck/trailer payments to go along with it. I just don't want to work that hard to pay insurance, maybe because after 34 yrs I just ain't as excited about this trucking as I once was. Just coasting on in nowadays.

I pay 6,000 per year for insurance and complain about that being too much..

paid cash for the truck and rebuilt it over 2 years to minimize pop up expenses, and I don’t work cheap, no reason to lease on and let someone else call the shots to something I put the money up for p

there’s not enough money In the world for me to go back doing circles local again

I'll let you know come Novemeber. Up until 2019 I was intrastate. Switched to interstate right before renewal. Great West didnt change or want anything. But stated in 2020 I would have to show my ifta. Agent told me that more than likely it wouldn't change much with what I have planned. Still have not left the tristate area.

I did find some brokers that wont use me under my M/C due to age. But still will book me under my DOT for intrastate loads. Seemed odd. Some I just explaind that we are not new, that we added interstate and they were just fine with it.
