For those of you who have been following this scandal. It just took a turn for the worse. Not only were the troopers being paid overtime for not showing up, the way they earned that extra money was mandatory ticket quota system, specifically 8 tickets issued in every 4 hour overtime shift.
A system devised all the way at the top of the MSP food chain, for the express purpose of fattening the tax revenue. Quotas for this sort of thing have been illegal for decades, this policy has been going on for more than 20 years. You might have to jump through some hoops to see the whole article. worth it.
State Police overtime scheme, illegal ticket quota was devised by higher-ups 20 years ago, former trooper says - The Boston GlobeCoffey, HopeOverMope and Cat sdp Thank this. -
If the Feds investigate all h*** will break loose. It’s possible that some of those current and former state troopers could get charged under the RICO Act,as the federal judge involved wants to know if the matter was a conspiracy!

They collectively made all that money in 1 year ?? Is this actually tens of millions of dollars we are talking or are my bad math skills getting the best of me ??? oh my jesus !
bzinger Thanks this. -
You have to remember that a few of those troopers are “old hands” who have been on the force for 20-30 years on average. And with their pension plans and work details that they do (construction zones, sporting events, escorts, etc.) pulling $200K a year for some of them isn’t far fetched. Some of them are just racking the time up until their retirement date.
I actually took the state law enforcement officer exam back in 2012 and would’ve been in the academy if they had given the exam before my 35th birthday(age cutoff for state police applicants-my birthday is in April but the exam was administered in May). Minimum passing score was 80%. I got a 91.bzinger Thanks this. -
I've never seen a mass trooper up close ...do they dress like fairy's like Jersey troopers ?

Wonder how many have to #### in a cup 4x a year. Meanwhile, they're "greatly concerned"" about your "falsified" swindle sheet.
