It's a good engine. Like the 5ek. Dont pump it up to a stupid HP. unless you install the stiffer plate on block or chance a cracked block. I don't like the 5ek and 6ts for the oil cooler water neck going into the center of block instead of at rear of block for coolant circulation. But they are ok. 40 pin electronics. Lot of good files for them.

Ha! In the cool weather I don't have to babysit that gauge.

In warm weather when upshifting it will hover around 950-1000 post. If I really try It can touch 1100 but never any more. I've checked the cac, piping, boots and even replaced that accordion looking piece.

I don't hold it long at 1,000. I'm always downshifting and keep up rpm's. Keep in mind I had Kurt work his magic on the ecm.

Sound like normal readings to you? Maybe I worry too much but I drive it like I have an egg between my foot and go pedal.

Are the 6TS's prone to breaking the crank like the 5EK? Our 5EK broke the crank a little after million miles.

They all are for a certain mfg. Date. They had a bad casting batch for a while. If it hasn't broke by now, nothing to worry bout. Just update the damper pulley.

Windshield leaks on the circuit behind the indicator lights and turns on the low air light and buzzer. Dries out it goes back off. 95 Pete
