Is that because SoCal needs more from the east than they send out there?
That place seems to only want to send loads locally along the west coast.
But they will suck it in from all over.
That is why it is SO hard to get out from there.

Its flat simple, truth is flatbed division can get 6-7 loads out of Socal perday. Guranteed.
We had a few doing the Jersey to long beach container rush which didn't help. But so cal on average the last few days has had 20 flatbedders in it, way over that 7 we can actually plan out.
Its only been this year ive ever had trouble getting out of socal as flatbed. Normally its no issue. But kinda Eghh market and a fairly new planner do not help.
Cause we got 1 guy for the whole west coast, save for the dedicated fleets.
Typically i mess around in the middle of the country or the west and the second i get on the east coast the Eastern planners immediatly throw me back west. As of late. Where they used to always steal me and trap me on that coil triangle.
Friday when i last spoke there were 86 van drivers waiting for a load, which may have changed by now. But the scraps that were left over were all utter crap at the time.
The other issue is, there is often freight avalible out here, but its too cheap for the division to even think of touching.
As for van freight im afraid i just dont know.
But yeah, socal needs alot of things but doesn't necessarily produce as much. Despite being a major industrial center.
Now if your reefer you can escape socal all day long. That i do know. But our division doesn't like touching reefer loads just because its so bloody hard to get back to flat freight.
Right now the goal is get to texas, they got the goods there. For us.Moosetek13 and dptrucker Thank this. -
jurupa terminal.
Tcalled load here last nite.
started my personal truck(f250) and heard a loud exhaust leak.
looked under and saw where someone cut and stole catalac converter.
reported it to management and had police make a report.
terminal leader had a mechanic take pics and while walking back I said to him wondering if it's another driver needed one or a pack.
he pointed out another truck.like mine and i.looked under that one and his is missing too.
