Doubles for the first time

There better in snow than a twin screw

 

Working on site definitly sucks.

My record is 60 loads in one day.

 

I don't know about that. Out here, they pull single axle trailers with twin screw tractors with chains. Drivers in Colorado would know, they got 51 inches of snow on I-70 the other day. No place for a single axle, chains or not.

 

I've puled sets both ways, I would rather have the single axle over the screw any day.

 

I am sorry if I offended with my rather bland position on single screw.

The last one I had trouble with was east of Chicago on the Michigan Highway it was snowing, maybe 4 inches, enough to have both axles locked at 20 eastbound. I see a set of headlights pointed at me and wife. I told her to get set just in case.

Turned out a set of doubles lost it, fought to get it back and completely somehow managed to spin himself to where the tractor was facing me and both trailers were at 45 degrees to his 5th wheel and another 40 or so degrees to the first tailgate (Makes sense?) I could not find the guy so I slowed to 5 onto the shoulder and had big eyes.

Found him throwing chain on his single. Debated stopping or not but no hes doing what he can.

To this day I don't understand how he spun that without hitting barrier rail in center (Stressed concrete) or losing it to low bank drop on right. Three lanes too.
