I started here 3 weeks ago, been pretty fair so far. Some things to note though.

    1. If you are unable to run 2700 to 3k+ a week don't bother to even apply. That is the first question the recruiter is going to ask you.

    2. Cameras, both out AND in. They go off for hard breaks, etc. Also, once every night between 0100 and 0300 CST for testing I think.

    3. Trucks are capped at 68mph. In the freightliner I'm in you get 20 minutes a day that you can do 70 mph to pass trucks doing that 67.5 mph.

    4. Everyone is really calm and very relaxed. You wont ever hear from them unless they have a question or you really screwed up. They treat you like a person not just an ### in the seat.

    5. Equipment is top notch. Now saying that be aware if you mess up there equipment by hitting a pole or some other stationary object there probably gonna can you. They are very big on presentation

    6. The CEO, Michael Holland is one of the most down to earth people I have ever met. Also, in 13 years of trucking first time someone has ever asked my opinion.

    7. Salary is 1250 a week before taxes, a little over a thousand after. You do get paid for your days off as long as you do not take extra days then what you earned. This is defined as 1 day off for every week you are out. There are 4 bonuses. 11k, 12k, and 13k miles and a fuel bonus. You will have to call for the numbers but I know they add up to an extra thousand a month. If you want a raise Mike told us to come to him in 6 months and you and him will negotiate it. The guy really loves negotiations.

    8. They have a lease program. From what I understand you get 75% of gross. Trucks payments are whatever is left on the note of the truck ÷36 months. Not a 100% sure there but that's what I was told. You have to meet with Mike to lease a truck so not sure what happens in that meeting. Oh and the 25% they take covers the trailers and all trailer maintenance.

    9. Bob, Mike's dad (owner) will road test you before they will hire you. He is a no ######## kinda guy who has been drivin trucks longer then I have been alive. He is nice as hell, just dont wreck his truck or trl and you #### sure better stop completely at every stop sign.

    10. Joe is the recruiter. The guy wont lie to you about a thing. Everything he has told me is true.

    11. They have a sister company called CMT. They run step and conestoga only. Dont know alot about them.

    12. Forgot to add. All trucks come with an apu, fridge, inverter and 50 dollars in grocerys you pick when you start.

    Just wanted to add

If you dont want to work or am unable to run recap dont come here. They rarely do 34s unless you need them and they run you. I have had 2 trips in 3 weeks that where under 1000 miles.

Minus50 Will they work with you if you don't have a stellar record? I have had 3 jobs in last year, but #### when I am paid by the mile and there is no miles, I have been forced to move on... I want a good company and I know many out there are like me do too, but recruiters and good jobs like what Great Plains Transport offers are hard to get unless you are perfect

Well I am not perfect I have had a few jobs trying to find a steady check and man its been tough. I am excited to get started and get rolling. Pretty neat a company pays you salary and a bonus and all you have to do is run the miles. Winner winner chicken dinner. Give me a truck I will run thats all I am after a good check some benefits and a good place to call home. Call them up and speak to the recruiter. See what they say!
