Switch to a better trucking company.

“What makes a ‘better’ company, Six?”

-better pay for the same amount of work.
    -nicer trucks.
-less handholding by the desk jockeys.
-no cattle prods in the truck.
-does not train people to drive. There may be a little training aspect that you have to do in order to do the job, but they are not training you to drive or learn the HOS.

Nine classes is what two semesters. If you want to make money in a truck you have to work hard. Wether your an owner operator or a company driver. big money isn’t for guys who only show up. Now if you want to just show up there are A lot of trucking jobs like that too.

For what linehaul entails it’s the easiest money in the world, especially if you can land a day run.

Yea, im 9 classes away from a degree going part time because I work Security for 12 an hour and Im not sure my degree is going to change that. I cant stand being around people and love working overnight. If I could make 70-80k a year driving a truck overnight in South Jersey...id be working towards it. Get off everyday after working alone and have the whole day, plus money to do things. ####...

Just because you get off early in the morning doesn’t mean you have the whole day. After all, you did just work all night, AND you have to work through the next night, AND you have make time to get some sleep.

Don’t think lack of sleep won’t catch up with you either, because it will.
