T660 headlights replacement

Legit same exact situation....not sure what to try. Going back to the truck early tonight to try vise grips on the bolt ends and a wrench and heating the nut up‍♂️

 

They're just coarse thread screws that go straight into the fiberglass. They suck, I know. Get the screws out the best way you can, patch the fiberglass, mark where the holes belong using the old light and the dirt under the hood as a guide and drill new (small) pilot holes.

For patching the 'glass, you can get what you need at Wally World. No need to pay body supply store prices. The loose weave batts and some resin, (the hardener is under the lid) will do the trick. Pull enough strands out of the batt to plug the hole and use a chip brush to dab and saturate the fiberglass with the resin. Put a piece of tape across the backside of the hole to prevent the resin from forming a glob on the other side. File everything (somewhat) smooth, mark and drill your holes, Bob's your uncle.

 

I just used gorilla glue and rethreaded them in.

 

What truck are you guys talking about? Kenworth or Volvo? T660 is a KW model.
