I have been thinking of starting out with a flatbed com. All I have pulled back in the day was refer soe van. But some will say that getting your owne truck is a bad thing but it's not about the $$$(but that is always good thing too) it's in the blood..lol In my family your in the military or in a truck.For i'm the blacksheep of the family( I have a desk job ) lol and it's driving my nuts..

 

The decision for me to get my own truck again was a difficult one. I sold my KW back in 03, took some time off, then went into a company truck in the winter of 04. From 04 to April of this year I was miserable... Depressed... All that suicidal crap. So I came back out of the company truck with the hopes that I'd find a real job. It took a few months to realized that the real job wasn't there..... and my bills were piling up.

Decision time.

I factored everything.... What I wanted.... What I didn't want... Where I wanted to run.... Where I didn't.... I decided that I better get my own truck, cause going back to company was for sure going to cause suicidal tendencies...

I've been out here going on 3 weeks now with mercer... I am running more miles then I did in that company truck but I'm not working harder....

Hey redd I got the best of both worlds. Running this truck like it is mine, but not paying the up keep. My truck is getting rebuilt. Luckily I am not footing the bill. I have all the freedoms of an O/O just don't have all the headaches.

 

You lucky little...... So your in Louisville? Are you going to get free lunch tomorrow? I've been bumped off every load I tried to get today.... I finally got one going to New Mexico... I load in the morning at the arsenal base just down the road.

 

my truck is in Chicago and reloads for Houston...dang we missed the free lunch the other day had to load before noon.....

 

No I started having problems in Baltimore. Spent all day at peterbilt. Went and loaded in Hagerstown and dropped in Edwardsport IN. Was having the same problem and they told me head to their shop. I stopped at louie and then went to their shop in Geogetown. They got me a appointment wednesday for the peterbilt in London KY. Going to overhaul the engine. Told me they would put me up in a motel or I could go home. They loaned me a pick up so I booked home.

 

He took that Houston run out of Chicago? There was one that loaded today & one that loaded tomorrow.... I didn't even put my name of those... It wasn't paying enough for me to deadhead 350 miles.

I would have probably done the same thing. Purple looks good on you!
