Maybe depends where the gust hit it at 209mph ......started off as a 19k in the army then went 18d was so close shooting perfect 1000 on tank table 8....but loader did not say "up" loud enough...
We never heard it on the tape....boy was the captain pissed was the CO's gunner at the time...FerrissWheel Thanks this. -
Lupton az at speedy's truck stop.
left jv terminal around 0630 this morning.
I always start early.
other driver doesn't.
I will call my dl before I pass Barstow to make sure we are meeting in beaver.
I will pull over and make coffee while doing this
today I had a high value load and couldn't stop till baker.
but other driver called me first. was about 15 miles from Barstow and h3 said he just started his day and was going to beaver
was 20 miles pass Barstow when I got a message to not pass barstow.
too late lol.
drivers dl called and said they were going to get approval for meeting in Lupton due to the 70 closing for avalanche control. Sat for 45 minutes waiting
ended up 30 miles from the 40 b4 finding a place to get off.
my personal best on one shift at 659 miles. still had 14 minutes left on my 11FerrissWheel Thanks this. -
when I got off to wait, i set nav to get here.
wanted me to go north and get off at nipton rd and go 30 miles to us95/163/93/40. for a total of 485 miles approx. but I thought it be faster to go back south and get on 40 instead.
maybe I should have went the way nav said.
anyways I made it here without hitting anything LOL.Wasted Thyme and FerrissWheel Thank this. -
Did you leave JV terminal with the high value load?
Had it been t-called there?
If so, that 200 mile rule doesn't apply. That is only when picking up from the shipper.FerrissWheel and dptrucker Thank this. -
load started in San Diego. so I only had to drive 80 miles to get pass the 200 mile mark.
I still fell short and never got a call why I stopped lol.FerrissWheel Thanks this. -
From what I have been told that 200 mile requirement does not apply if the load t-calls at a terminal. It cancels it out.
Just like you could pick it up and then head to the terminal for your 10. Can't do that at a truck stop, but the terminal is considered a secure area.dptrucker and FerrissWheel Thank this. -
Home in Burnsville, so I am a happy camper.
I t-called a Big Lots load at the terminal. It delivers a live unload at 0400 Monday morning in Blaine, so I'm glad I am not due back until Tuesday.dptrucker and FerrissWheel Thank this. -
