    I had a 770 for a couple years, and now a 780 for a couple years. Never saw what you are describing. Very happy with both units

    Well I coughed up the money for the randy pro 8. The layout is so much nicer! However it shut off on me today lol. I have the worst luck I swear. Was able to figure out how to do factory reset on it. Hopefully it doesnt give me anymore #### cause i do like it a lot more then the garmin

    I have been having the same issues with the 780. I have 3 of them, all have been doing this. I also have a Rand Mcnally 740, and it does this too.

    I have move the GPS all over the truck. I have also put faraday cloth on the dash as well. I have yet to find a solution to resolve this. I have had my 780 in 4 other Vovlo trucks and I have never really had the lost satellite issue before.

    Garmin is sending me a 785 today. We shall see if this helps.
