Hi. I have this Delta pressure sensor of a Detroit diesel that has moisture on the ports of the differential pressure sensor or Delta P. The moist is NOT antifreeze nor oil. It seems to be condensation. It is a dd13 it appears that the fan which works continuously produces moist when it blows to the egr which gains temperature producing condensation. That is the theory and it could be completely wrong. Does anyone seen this issue before? Thanks! IMG_20200206_125909801.jpg IMG_20200206_125919893.jpg

Hi mhyn. Yes. Humidity is in the area; however, the dynamic brake on the engine may have been off. It seems that the fan clutch is doing it's work now allowing the Venturi pipe to warm up avoiding humidity.

Mhyn. This is interesting. Check this out. It was the dynamic fan brake. The entire situation started with a code about Delta pressure sensor out of calibration.

I inspected the EGR valve and turbo actuator. Everything fine. Then, I clean and inspected the intake throttle valve. Also, the fuel filters were replaced. Then, I started to notice that during summer at high temperatures the Venturi pipe holes were always clean with no large amount of humidity only minor traces of moist nothing to worry about. Only during winter at cold temperatures the condensation form as a result of the variance of temperatures between the engine and the air flowing in through the radiator fan wind current that hits directly on the Venturi pipe.

never seen this kind of issue. But its possible if the difference of temperatures is big.

Funny but ive just cleaned mine, and it looked at least that bad. My truck was losing power, and when ive stop at the dealer they said there is where they would start looking. But of course they didnt have time for me so ive done it myself. No problem since

You may want to have the turbo actuator inspected, in addition to, just to see if it have free movement. Maybe a bottle of motorkote low sulfur diesel treatment. Green label. Would help restore engine power.

My ports are plugged right up. I've tried pipe cleaner, paper clip and mechanics wire. I cannot seem to get through it. Any ideas?
