One thing to consider is that the GPS software that is used by some ELD's may make the determination that you are on a
public roadway at certian shippers and receivers and may trigger the drive clock regardless of the speed threshold.

Another good reason to have a printer in the truck. If you can’t email your logs then print them for the officer on the spot.

Not sure what a compliment ELD is.
My company uses the Transflo mobile system and it has
Triggered the drive clock on me a couple of times in that scenario.
Edit: Upon further review, this system includes telematics.

I'm not sure what kind of commerce a driver could possibly be doing at 5 mph. Or 10 mph for that matter.

We are allowed to use PC for small moves.
Example-I was at our terminal doing a 34,and shop personnel asked me to move the truck to a open hole around back.
I switched to PC,entered PCDM under notes,and moved the truck.tarmadilo Thanks this.
