I'd say it's time for you to find something else to do. Instead of getting online and throwing a tantrum, try fixing the problem.

Because Adam and Steve never happened. It was Adam and Eve.

You have to look at it this way, if for example in 2018 i made 72000 an an employee at 55cent per mile. Then once I became an o/o i expected to take $72k home with me after 6 month of work. Thats after all expenses, truck payment, repairs, maintenance. But reality is different, I didn't even take home anything close to as being an employee when being an owner. United States trucking economy is garbage. Wanna get rid of the rig, and get done with trucking once and for all.

While the Trucking is much tighter. It calls for better personal planing etc. Van freight is really tough right now. I haul reefer. After years of doing this I have found some good brokers.

No one said this was easy. But I’m never working for anyone but me. Last year 204000 to the truck I kept 55% after all expenses. Down from 244000 the year before. I don’t work hard.

Owning a truck is no different than a McDonald’s
If you can’t figure it out and be profitable then either company will fold. Or work harder just to say they have a business

    I’m 54. Have never had a job.
Always owned my own business and I myself wouldn’t get up and put my underwear on for the numbers the above and many others say they make

If my truck can’t gross close or over $30,000 In a 4 week window ( with a day here and there off ) then I’m in the wrong business

30,000 is a little hard right now. But you can make a good living. Always look at your risk reward and if you had to get out how long will it take and will it cost you to get out. All my stuff is paid for.

I had to edit my post. Spellcheck
    I meant I wouldn’t get up for x dollars

Everything is relevant. I’ve only pulled two trailer. Cars and flatbed and have done well with both

Where the deductions for health insurance? Cell phone Etc. You are missing a ton of dictions. I don’t even see you per diem. Playing a good CPA a grand can really pay for it self.

Wow! Your operating costs were essentially only 30% of revenue?

all in, house, whatnot $48,000 in deductions on top of what you see here
What you see is basically fuel, insurance, tags, and tolls
My CPA runs $600 a year. Money well spent
