Thinking about being a swift mentor

please please please don’t tell me you are just doing it for the money.

 

They have posters in some of the terminals that break down mentor pay structure. Or at least they did 2 years ago.

I have never been or ever would be a mentor. My personal space is too important to me, not to mention my life.

No amount of money could ever change that.

I only know about being solo, sorry.

Mentors can make more money, especially if they can get the student into team driving fairly quickly.
But to me it simply isn't worth the risk.

Plus, I would be a lousy teacher.
And that is the aspect that bothers me most about the OP.
No mention of wanting to teach other drivers, but seems only interested in the money.
Bad juju.

 

Knowing the basics is a far cry from a seasoned veteran that has real experience.

5 years should be the minimum experience to become a mentor, in my opinion.
After 9 years out here I still run up against the unexpected. After 10 months I was barely wet behind the ears.
