I understand that, it's just my way of distinguishing a linehaul tractor from a city tractor, yes most but not all LTLs use line power only for line and local, Saia for example is purchasing city tractors again for city use only.Mike2633 and Bob Dobalina Thank this.

Yeah I finally saw what you and everyone else is talking about, I am coming into Phoenix using the newly opened 202 to Lower Buckeye Rd now to get to the terminal, there was a three axle day cab taking a long box into the Amazon facility on LB, and when I got over to Mojave street about half the Amazon trucks that were there were gone out doing something, this was at night, also still seeing outside contracted types pulling Amazon trailers on the I 10 going west towards Fontana or east towards El Paso.

Just saw this, thank you JMZ, this is what I was trying to explain.jmz Thanks this.

You mean like these dollies that are next to my yard at work? Second photo is zoomed in on the numbers, the AZNG proves they are indeed Amazon dollies.
Bob Dobalina and USMC 3531 Thank this. -
Yeah, Bob had posted to me about the AZNG pup trailers, had no idea they had already gone the pup route before.Bob Dobalina, Mike2633 and McUzi Thank this.

I’ve seen many pups in some Dc’s when delivery, I think they are used by USPS and fed ex but they are there nd still being used.

Yep, $12hr is what I started at for tractor trailer p&d in 1998, I thought I struck gold because my straight truck p&d job before that was $9.25hr.
