Reporting faulty equip

Had some trouble with a truck bobtailing down to Florida. It was the first time I'd used this truck. Between 55-65 mph the truck just started shaking. I thought it was a problem so I reported it to my dispatcher and said I was going to take it in. The shaking subsided so I decided to continue on my trip. The next day I picked up my load and when backing I seen out then rear window (day cab) that the frame was bent from someone hitting a low trailer. I delivered the load and the truck seemed fine. The next day the rumbling came back and this time I decided to take it in. The mechanic wrote up a report and I delivered it to dispatch when I arrived. It was a different dispatcher from when I first reported it. This is the second time I had a problem like this but with a different truck, so when I arrived and delivered the news he said "I think you're a bad driver" , I said "no I think I'm just getting unlucky with the trucks you guys are giving me" he repeated "no i think you are a bad driver". I explained to him that I reported the issue before I even picked up a load (so I couldn't have bent that frame). He said "so you're trying to cover your ###?" Well yes, yes I am! He was correct in that. Why would I take the blame on something like that which I was not responsible for? Shouldn't they have they been appreciative that someone was taking the time to be concerned about their equipment and reducing the risk for another driver? Sorry if this is not the place for venting, but I'm exhausted from driving my ### off for these mofos! I guess the saying is true "never be the bearer of bad news." Maybe I'll just keep my mouth shut and let the next poor sucker get stranded on the side of the highway. F*** me I'm complaining and acting like a sissy. Sorry. 1 + year of driving experience.

 

The trucks are rentals. We don't have an in house mechanic shop and dispatch is also management. I don't think we even have a safety department from what I know. Only been there for a couple weeks.

 

I'm not sure what fly by night is. It's a big company. The trucks are Ryder and ones they own are for the yard and local mostly. But no they are not specialized in trucking only.
