Thoughts on Tesla weight

Multi terminal operations will benefit greatly if it gets produced.

 

A day cab with a flatbed weighs 41k empty? That's going to be about the most worthless pile of junk anybody's ever seen.

 

i'm assuming tha tesla is an electric drive....check for weight allowances for non polluting value.....i know you can get weight allowances for apu's, extra batteries for electric apu's, etc.....anything that cuts down, eliminates combustion exhaust, is given weight allowance for added weight of non polluting system.....i'd suspect a substantial weight allowance for a completely non polluting cmv

 

I don’t think you would get that much allowance. States need their money and infrastructure is getting too expensive to repair.

 

Who will pay for all those charging stations?
Can the grid handle it?

 

I’m going to be a little skeptical. Every number in the video is a guess or “somebody told me”.

 

thats a resonable probability, if i remember correctly, allowances vary state to state, nevertheless, i'd erase speculations, by checking for allowances, b4 investing

 

First iteration. It will get improved and lighter. Especially as battery technology advances.

 

Every truck and trailer manufacturer are doing everything they can to reduce weight and not just to save fuel. A greater payload means more dollars.
That Tesla truck is just the opposite.
