Replace transmission & clutch: $16,000?

    I am willfully heading to the coffee pot ignoring this little ankle biters blast. He has no idea that everything in his life is delivered by the driver he despises so much.

    If it pleases the topic a alternator is a number of bolts and a hour or so to throw it in there plus wiring. For 2000 or whatever, I'll do it myself with a new alternator big enough for the job.

    That price is awfully high though. I paid 4500 for new reman trans and 900 for new clutch from peterbilt. Took me 8 hours my self to install it all. It’s not a back breaking job. Yeah 0ver 8k in labor is rediculous and shame on the person that pays it

    you have been robbed..... at least its deductible, god a mighty... 6500 without a core, 550 clutch, 100 resurface flywheel, 2000 labor max. bewll housings dont wear out...thats a max of 2 days labor..acually a good diesel dog could do it in a day in and out
