As soon as you have your empty weight, you are able to tell how much to load, (80,000 lbs minus empty weight), don't forget to subtract your own...
Get an old one gallon paint can that has a handle and keep your rubber gloves in that, you can carry them around without touching them or letting...
Every time I had that happen it was a mic cord problem, torn ground lacing, soldered wire connection broken loose, or broken wire, that type of thing.
