The labor alone to change out a cam is big. Hood and radiator have to come out. Also the motor has to be retimed.
Also on those the governors are preset if you bought a new one.
Yes just one injector only partially working will not throw a code. Mine didn't but what a difference in lost power.
N14 Cummins is a bulletproof motor. Not 600 hp, but I had a 435 and besides oil changes put in one injector in 6 years.
