Put a giant sheet of copper under your roof lining. Not very practical but efficient.
You can get another copy of your license on www.fcc.gov I almost had to do that myself. Upgraded to general in september.
Don't take your radio out........get your HAM ticket. Go to www.qrz.com On the left column is "Practice Tests". Click and your in business....
