Thanks for the info to both. I should have no problem following any rules or guidelines if I'm paid well. It has been difficult to find salary...
It's for the tanker division. This location rotates days & weekends, so everybody has to work them. But, the senior guys get the best start times....
I have completed all the background checks and pre employment for PraxAir to be a bulk driver for them. Any drivers here have any info on them? I...
I guess I had it good compared to most of you guys. I spent my 10 hours under a loading rack once or twice and that's about the worst I've had it.
To add to this, there are a couple of ltl companies around. Estes has a terminal basically across the road from Williams Brice Stadium, with a...
Yeah, Estes has these also at most terminals. Usually less than 400 miles, some as little as 6-7 hours a night. Some with dock work some without.
I think it may be too late for me, been with the company for nearly 3 years. Good luck to all of our drivers though.
Oh ok. I always wondered what those were for when I was up there. I drove for nearly 3 years at Superior and dry bulk is still a complete mystery...
They have a dry bulk local guy and another doing deliveries for the bakery in Spartanburg, last I heard.
Yeah, I enjoyed tanker work personally. I was pretty lazy with my home time my first year driving tankers lol, but was still around 65k(I think...
I made over 60k with Superior Carriers my first year. I also averaged 7-8 days off a month.
Hey man, pretty interesting thread. Those Webster loads were my bread and butter when I worked at Superior. No one else wanted them. Be safe out...
I imagine it was the distance factor, but ultimately it's up to the terminal manager so I can't say for sure. I was hired on with only 2 years of...
Combo is a fill in driver. You will fill in for schedule runs when a guy is out. It can involve running p&d, linehaul, or hub/dock work. You will...
I would always hit a bump and accidentally downshift to 11th. Mine had 75k trouble free miles before i left.
You can go straight there out of approved schools. Superior was my first trucking job.
Once saw a FedEx contractor pulling a set of pups, running 60 mph in a 60 mph zone. Was the damnedest thing.
Good luck man. I enjoyed my time with Superior. Solid and professional company. My terminal manager tried his best to get me a local position...
I would find a better company, before you die or have long term effects of possible carbon monoxide poisoning. A detector would certainly be on...
They where requiring 2 years experience also. I don't know how firm they are on that though. I really could find very little info on the company...
