I have used broken up skids behind and in front of drives before with success. Ice melt, kitty litter, sand... all effective. Glad you got out!

Yup, as Wildcat says there wont be any ice roads with Precision. Its oilfield service work, hauling whatever is required into the drilling sites...
I run a Detroit in Edmonton, and find it relatively cool in the winters. As far as I understand the CAT and Cummins do better further north....
They drive on roads with ice (compacted snow) on them? Or they drive on lakes with ice bridges engineered for truck traffic?
