Glad the world has not ended today! So we are gonna keep on trucking!
A brief introduction...I am new to the trucking industry. The company that I now work for has cleaned house. We do have trucks, no driver, no dispatch and the office is a wreck. I am currently working on getting all the paperwork in order so we can operate compliantly with all federal and state laws. I have put several ads on Craigslist as well as put up flyers at the local truck stop to find drivers. My question is...is there any other place that I can put my ad out to get DECENT drivers??
I am currently the office manager, and my owner is trying to train me to do dispatch as well. I've only been working for three weeks, and talk about a crash course in the trucking business!!! Any and ALL advice would definitely be helpful to me.
Not just about getting drivers, but about EVERYTHING! And YES, I plan on doing this for the long haul!

    Thanks in advance,
    Suzie

Put ads on Careerbuilder, CDL schools in your area of hiring, and "Trucking Jobs" thread on this forum.

You can talk to CDL school administrators & add your company to their recruiting list. Can pick and choose the best as you need drivers. All the new CDL graduates will be hired somewhere, but you will be in the positon to hire the best from each class, before other companies get to them.

Something no one else mentioned is: How about your State's job bank? Some call it the unemployment office. Where I'm at it's www.minnesotaworks.net I believe and plenty of driver's post their resumes there,as well as employers posting openings looking for drivers to fill their trucks. Just a thought. :)
