Yep, what’s wrong with using both ?

Maybe a few years ago a CB was useful but not anymore

    i recently made a 700 mile trip .

I counted 23 revenue collection officers hiding running radar .

not one was mentioned on the CB and less than half were on WAZE .

Every podunk town has one hiding right at the sign where the speed drops from 55 to 35, one little no traffic light “city” had one hiding right past where the speed limit dropped from 55 to 25

a good detector also warns of laser
It will usually pick up the bounce off the vehicle in front of you when the money hungry cop shoots the vehicle in front of you.

Today I was in junction 14 south of Mojave cruising at 65, I didn’t see the plain white wrapper coming up until he was literally next to me cruising about 70. He never looked at me, he just kept on going. Nothing on the radio to give me a heads up either. I was on my Bluetooth, so I guess somewhat distracted for a bit.

Yeah you don't hear many warnings on the CB anymore. But I guess I'm just old school, because I call out every one I see. Sometimes someone comes back but most of the time silence. Sad.

Had one of the first 10# metal Escorts. Had it hidden in a tissue box. When I heard of the fine amounts out it came. Still have it as a antique. Upgraded to the newer style but only for the 4 wheelers. I spoke to the lady a few years ago when laser came out. She said if they pull the trigger on you, you dont have time to react and they got your speed.

    D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

My 1st speeding ticket when I was 16. I had an 01 sonata that would randomly lock itself. So after a weekend of hanging out with my buds I had to have my parents come over with the spare key because the ####### decided to lock itself. I take off and my parents are still bs'ing with my friends mom and dad. It's in this little lake community, I get on it good thinking nobody is around but literally the only cop in the area is sitting right there waiting for me. I get busted 65 in a 35 and as I'm pulled over my mom and dad pass me. They actually got out and stopped and said I was a dumb #### Lol and went on their way. The cop was cool, I just got failure to obey traffic control device's. I didn't even have my license 2 months at the time.

What she said is true but.... just like @roundhouse said .. it will pick up the bounce .. from them pulling the triger on the vehicles in front of you
And again as @Oxbow said .. you have to know how to use 1 to be beneficial
I won't go trailer truck'n with out one

I'am dating myself & it doesn't work with lazer
But back in the day all you had to do was put a tunning fork in a Styrofoam block and velcro strip it on the dash .. that tunning fork would F up the radar signal and they couldn't get a read on ya

My uncle that's a retired trooper said he would pull the guy over he caught speeding and slammed on his brakes versus the guy that didn't slow down. If you're gonna go for it, go for it
