I finally got a load that picks up friday at 1600. Its going west to the L.A. area that delivers tuesday 11:11. Total m.t. and loaded will be 2100 miles. And I get $200 layover pay.

So i was 7 hrs off, form when i said you would get loaded.
Enjoy the miles. I only get those big miles when i either leave the house, or i'm going home to the house. The rest of the time running circles as the midwest regioanl biotch.

All I can say about Marten is that it all depends on who your dispatcher is. If you have a good one like Jacquie then you'll get reasonably decent miles (as long as they're not brokered off or put on the rail). If you have an imbecile like Michelle Rud, you'll get stuck with 72 hour 700-750 mile runs back to back to back. She won't reschedule ANYTHING, she wont follow up on ANYTHING unless you force her, but if you do, you're screwed. If she screws up and plans something stupidly and makes it impossible to del or pkup ontime, she'll slant it to look like your fault no matter what. If you complain you'll get labelled as a "difficult driver" and then you'll get drummed out. So... the moral of the story? If you're going to start with marten, find out who your fleet manager is going to be first. If you get Michelle, QUIT. INSTANTLY. No notice, just leave. I guarantee you'll lose your apartment, your car, and your spouse working with her.

There is no way to know ahead of time who your fleet manager will be though. Last day of orientation you get assigned to a team leader and then they decide after a few weeks which one of their fleet managers to assign you to. I know I had Michelle Picklehead Fleet 14 the whole time I was there and she is useless.

    Crobinson1324 Thanks this.

Likewise with fleet 6 Joanne, she can't get you home on time, then makes it your fault for not taking the home load, even if you don't have the hrs, to get home , or can't make del on time. It's always your fault getting home late.
She will not try very hard to swap you out for loads going to where home is.
And also why you complain to her supervisor, or anyone above her, your miles drop to maybe a 1000 a week, just as punishment for you going over her head. I just had one of those 1000 mile weeks.
She tries to say theres no freight, yet i talk to other drivers from other fleets almost daily, and they are still getting good miles, and home on time for most part.
