    When I start my truck, the gauges do a self test , but the speedometer never goes to zero, so my speed is off by 10-15 pretty much every time. Sometimes it does but lately always off. How can I fix this? I use to tap on the speedometer and occasionally it would go to zero.

    Short answer is the speedometer is getting wonky on you and should be replaced.
    With that be said sometimes if you cycle the key eight or ten times with 10 to 20 seconds in between key cycles it will zero out.
    If you get it to zero again make sure the gauges go through there full sweep and reset each time before you fire the truck up or it will get out of phase on you again.
