04 volvo d12 10 speed auto issue

I had this same issue on the side of the road!!! Its been about 2 years and I've since gotten rid of truck but I remember i had to have it towed to volvo somerset KY cost me about $1500…..

 

I actually broke down for some type of fuel issue and when I ran over the little grates on the side of the road it vibrated something loose and it then wouldn't come out of gear, so I had to shut it off, and couldn't get it out of gear and into neutral…….

 

The best thing to do is convert it back into a manual 10 speed. The autotragic transmissions are junk.

 

I tell you how to start but it takes two people some one has hold the clutch so when the engine starts it wont take off on you , some will have hold it down then have do out to the fire wall and jump across the starter relay , it by the steering shaft , has to big red wire going to it and two small black wires , just jump across the two red ones with a screw driver , a wire will get hot so be careful!!!!!!!!!!!

 

sounds like worn X-Y motors..... easy way out - to make convertional plate and fit manual tower... and of course reprogram ECMs
