That's because most of them have CB's :biggrin_25523: . I haven't seen any of them claiming a CDL holder is limited to .04 while in a non CMV post a regulation to substntiate it .

I haven't found it yet either. I'm not going to even look anymore because people will believe what they what. It's a crime in my book to drive any vehicle after a few drinks. And I was one that used to do it when I was in the service although I never got a DUI. If you're going to risk your job and livelyhood then I believe you should know all the laws that pertain to you. That goes for all regulations too, like hazmat. I don't believe people when they state a law or regulation unless they have the law or place I can see it for myself. That includes Leo's too.

Hauler, couldn't say it any better myself. LIsten up boy's and girls, why on earth is it that some driver's just don't get it. You could have 19 driver's listening to the same conversation and they would walk out with 10 different versions. This is not rocket science, In my State, it is just as HAuler and Road medic have described. If your State is different, qoute the exact wording of the law andthe link to back it up. Don't just assume you know it all.

    Wrong.

Unless you can show me a link proving this.

I have reviewed California law as well.

Not that I drink or not, but false information is wrong.

I have to admit I got confused on this one......

Partly because the companies I have worked before going on my own had "zero tolerance"....Mainly due to the fact that I was on on call 24/7/365 because they provided emergency services to the oil companies and power companies...

In other words....you showed up for work on a pipeline leak and you blew a .02 BAC....you could get terminated.....

That even applied to the labors just not the drivers and Operating Engineers....

Go up a ladder with a fire hose and smell alcohol on your partner. Makes you feel real safe.

Rode in a tanker with the driver who reeked. Was the Captain. Reported to the chief, nothing done.

Ok,...After some research ya'll are right,..

But I'm still not going to take any chances driving after drinking in ANY vehicle,..commercial or otherwise,...

I have a very good job,and it's not worth the chance to lose it if I get nailed for a dui,.......

The dui even in a personal vehicle will do damage to the CDL.
