Now that you've asked it doesn't sound right to me either, that was the explanation I was given when I picked it up. But now I'm looking at the reciept, its kind of confusing. It says "replaced actuator solenoids #5 replaced wire end on #5 solenoid; cleared codes, road tested truck;ok.
BUT then in the charges line it says,
TOTAL LABOR $196.00
TOTAL PARTS $188.98
1 10r7302 ACTUATOR $167.49
1 3669748 WIRING 21.49
MISCELLANEOUS SUPPLIES 13.97
So now some one tell me what they did, don't get me wrong it worked great, but how do I explain to someone what they did if now I'm not sure what they did?The description sounds like I got 2 solenoids and 1 wire end, the parts list sounds like I got 1 actuator and some "wiring".

10R-7302 is an actuator repair kit. They basicly rebuilt the faulty actuator that runs 5 and 6.
bubbanbrenda Thanks this. -
Same problem on my 06mxs. Going to have overhead done after holidays and vva's looked at.

alot of running rough when cold on an a-cert is the oil isnt warm enough to evacuate the accuator slave pistons so they are slow to react. it will sound like its missing and belch out white smoke which is raw fuel that hasnt been burn't. makes an awful racket.

The actuators are being used at startup at 650 rpm?

cosde 95 is the pressure sensor on on the spacerplate acting up. its on the turbo side about where the front and center valve covers meet. just went through this with a buddys truck. be ready to replace it a few times cat has had alot of trouble with these sensors being bad right out of the bag. poor quality control! ended up replacing that sensor 3 times before we got a good one.

It's old question but still I will reply..
It is normal... Cat says Cold Mode nothing should be done , don't throw parts , just bring temperature to operating temp and it will be fine or150° up if not drive so smooth on Hwy keep rpm over 1300 until u reach 150° then neutral for SEC and
U r good to go. Its ECM who sedated automatically to save motor. It sedated more if u have fuel temp mod.... Coz ecm reads fuel 170°f and water temp 100°f or less and ambient temp cold outside .. for protection cold mode is on
