Just got my CB put in my 06 International roll back. I first had a Walmart magnetic antenna on the roof. Seemed to lack in preformance .so I got a mirror mounted one. I mounted it on the lower part of the mirror. I don't see any difference in the preformance. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Should it be on the top part of the mirror or do these mirrors not have good grounds .they seem to wobble some.

If you have a metal roof, a 63-inch Wilson 1000 or 5000 magnet-mount placed in the center will get you about as much as an antenna can yield. A Sirio 5000 at 79 inches would yield a little better, but that's getting pretty tall on the rooftop. I wouldn't exceed 13.5 feet from ground.

An antenna centered on the roof is more balanced in regards to the ground plane on your truck. Something to think about if the mirror mount doesn't work as well as you like.
