06 volvo d12 fuel problem

Those problems starded when I've drained my tank really bad (1 and 2 filter replaced by the end of NOV) and last 3 situations happeneds last week when temp was below 0*F
Any change that this problem will go away when temp is gonna get back to normal (20F of higher) ????

 

I drive a 05 670 and seems Im having the same issues... Last week from Chicago to New Mexico it was terrible like the truck barley wanted to accelerate then as soon as I got into Warmer weather around Albuquerque,NM and into Arizona it was back to normal... This week Chicago to Utah been doing the same stuff... It's the cold weather... As far as your "check engine ECU" any Volvo I've ever driven says the same thing including the one I'm in now and your Mechanic is right its nothing to worry about... This truck has 1.2 million on it...

 

Anytime below freezing and especially below 20 make sure you treat your fuel with Power Service in the white jug or Howe's in the clear jug. Sure it costs but it's much cheaper than a breakdown.

You north/south drivers especially. You buy your fuel down south you don't get the winter blend they sell up north. Up in the cold area's they'll mix like 10% #1 diesel with #2 which lowers it's gel point. But it only helps so much.

If you plan on running in a cold area treat that fuel!! Any company will reimburse you. An OO it's tax deductible.

My last job I run out of the midwest. Treating fuel goes with every fueling. If you notice up north the trash cans are full of fuel treatment jugs in the winter.

The same goes with a reefer. Treat it's fuel.

 

So its only about the fuel and low temp?? Replacing the fuel pump or something its not gonna fix the problem?? What about that cooland getting to fuel injectors??
I've changed 2filters since last fueling witch has a lot of threatments and yesterday my filters filled up once again after 40miles from changing (in -15F) and the engine turned off...
Yesterday half of the trucks in my company coulnd't start but since they start the engine they were ok, but I cant trust my truck and hit the road even while was started...:/

If your getting the same code as OP, then you should have your fuel pump checked....along with accessory drive....

 

If the fuel pump is bad would I have filters full of fuel??

 

The same issues you two are having and same symptoms. Turned out to be my fuel pump...If anything go by a Volvo shop and have them pull that code....When my pump finally went out out on the side of the road, yes it was full of fuel.

 

Also, I just thought of something. The code that you are getting is not the fuel filter code, the fuel filter code is the fuel pump with the rain drops next to it........the code with the fuel pump and lines under it indicates another issue....
