Just do a google search and lots of links will pop up. There are cheaper China datalink connectors, but you get what you pay for. Buyer beware.

and i made sure they did it by the book -
Now that all is good. The parts are called "thermistors" in case you get into a conversation.
Heavyd Thanks this. -
Yeah i know, i keep screwing that part up. thanks
-
Name brand such as Nexiq or Cummins Inline 6 or 7 from a reputable seller such as Amazon or Online tool places, you are looking at $600 to $1000. Shop around. Stay away from anything used.

Thank, gives me an idea what to look for.
Now if i Understand this right, there is a DLB program for the Cab, which is the one we are basically talking about here, and then there is another part to the DLB program which covers the Main computer, or other computer??? Am i right??
and I am basically looking for just the Cab system, that will give me most of the fault codes and fixes?? -
DLB is just for the cab. You can read codes in the other modules and clear most inactive codes too. The other computer in the cab is ABS, but that is separate all together. DLB is all you need for the cab/body stuff.

OK. Im going to keep an eye out for DLB and a decent priced connector

Thermistors go bad on Prostars so often that whenever your AC shuts off its reasonable to assume that is the problem and just replace them before doing anything else. I carry spares at all times. You can buy them on eBay for 25% the cost at the stealership. I also installed a rocker switch in the fuse box to cycle the body controller while driving down the road. This resets the AC system for 15 minutes. This keeps the AC going until you get to a shop.
fargonaz Thanks this.
