I've quit many ways. Given verbal notice, got off a team truck miles from home, left a motel room while waiting for a truck, left a loaded truck at a terminal at 3 am with a note on the windshield that I quit. But, in this day and age, I would give notice in writing through the mail via "certified' with return receipt requested, (2 week notice). With that, you are covered if any disputes arise later.

I personaly think the smart way is to lock down your next place ,THEN give your two weeks. If they let you go then, you have a little vacation time; enjoy , and i don't think your being wrong to the Co. because if your gettin no miles or what ever else their doing to you they obviously are'nt looking out for you right?
