If you pm me with your e-mail address I can e-mail it to you with no problems. DO NOT post your e-mail on the forum. Just pm me with your e-mail address and I will send it. Or I can send you my e-mail address if you feel safer that way.
I also have an incomplete power point of a 2 day split, but not words or talking to it. But you might get the idea if you click your way through it.
When I am done I hope to post it here

Cool!! Thanks Logs!! I've been trying to explain it simply, and couldn't seem to do it! You're a lifesaver, even to another "expert"!!

I for one am lost. I used to drive for Schwan's Frozen Foods. The rules were very different for sales/driving. But I drove with someone that had been a truck driver and he spent hours and hours trying to get it all through my head. I'm sure I'll figure it out in school when that day comes.

But I guess I do understand that you must spend 8 hours in the sleeper at some point after the 14 hour day and 2 hours more that can be taken earlier in the day or before or after the 8 hour sleep.

What if you drive for 11 hours and don't have 3 hours worth of other work related activities. How long does it take to do pre and post trip? I could do it really fast on my little Schwan truck. If you don't have any loading or unloading to do, seems like there wouldn't be 3 hours worth of non-driving work to do.

Can you drive for 11, take 10 hours off and then drive for 11 more? and just keep doing that? Does 10 hours always reset the 14 hour day even if you don't actually need 14 hours? With post and pre-trip... I'm wondering...

Can you pre-trip for 30 minutes, drive for 11 hours, post trip for 30 minutes, sleep for 8, play for 2 and then start the day all over again then? That would be roughly 12.5 hours of drive time in a day with 1 hour of work. Part way into the 6th day we'd hit 60 hours. Is that when we must take the 34 hours off? Or can we take it part way into the 7th day when we hit 70 hours?

How confusing! Why don't thy just say we must sleep 8 hours in every 24 hour day?!
