At the very least, on tour court date try to see if the prosecuter will work with you.
Bring your clean mvr, even pictures if you think they can help your case due to poor signage etc, and explain to him how this will effect your future career path.
He might play ball.
If not then you could ask for trial by jury with no intention of doing it, but hoping either he wont want to go to trial for it or will plea it lower. If he doesnt do either of these you can jusy wait before the trial and just plead guilty at that point and time. -

I'd plead not guilty and drag the cop into court on his day off if you can't afford an lier. Either way a ticket 10 over shouldn't be a big deal getting hired, and if it is you probably don't want to work for them.

Its a SCHOOL ZONE ticket.....its a big deal.....fix it before you attempt to get a cdl...w/a relatively clean record you should be able to get into a diversion program of some sort&keep it off your record....good luck

Show up to court and whe they say guilt not guilty or no contest. Say not guilty and then when you comeback on your new date if the cop, doesn't show. You won. If he does then pay it and move on.
Some states are different. Like Nevada I got a speeding in my semi truck 80 in a 65. But he wrote it down to 75 Irresponsible I know. But I drove to court said not guilty they sent me to talk to,the DA and the DA turned it into a seatbelt ticket. I was happy they got their 250$ they were happy we were all happy lol. -

Just tell the judge you want diversion. You don't need a lawyer to do that. If you can't get diversion for some reason, ask the judge to lower the ticket to 3 mph over the speed limit and show proof you are enrolled in cdl school. -
All good advice. But the most critical point that many have made is get it done BEFORE you get a CDL. I'd be down there now asking what I could do to reduce the ticket but once you get your CDL you're stuck with whatever charge they give you.
